Castle Walls: Chapter 2 - The Summit
Twilight shivered as the doors swung closed behind her with a thud. The frigid mountain wind whipped against her, sending daggers of icy pain through her coat. Wincing, she lowered her head and trudged forward. Snow crunched under her hooves as she pushed forward through the gale, freezing her hooves until the feeling went from them. Wind-blown snow lashed against her coat and mane, clinging to her.
Ahead loomed a series of switchbacks leading to the summit. Twilight sighed and lit her horn, a light purple sphere surrounding her and blocking out the violent wind. I should have brought a cloak, she thought, shivering as the cold permeated the

Chapter 1 - Burnished Silver
Twilight broke on the horizon, the sun peeking above tree tops and mountains as it rose. Small rays of light drifted through Twilight Sparkle's bedroom, falling upon her face. As slowly as possible, she opened her eyes and rubbed the sleep from them. Rousing herself, Twilight slipped out of the downy bed that had always seemed much too large for her, and walked to the window to gaze out at the land. It seemed surreal to her, the ruling Lady of Canterlot.
Why me? she wondered, as was her daily tradition. Why did everypony choose me? I never asked for this... this... Rainbow Dash had always told her it was an hono

Daring Do and the Accursed Atoll
Daring Do looked out at the sea, the ship bobbing up and down underneath her hooves. The salty ocean breeze picked up, blowing her monochromatic mane into her face. With a sigh, she blew it away and returned to studying the horizon, thinking, and doing her best to ignore the bustle of the ferry. No matter what she focused on the ocean, their destination, the horrid food her thoughts always came back to one thing: her cutie mark, or lack thereof.
Ugh, why does everypony else my age have their cutie mark, but I can't even get an inkling of what mine is going to be. I mean, it's ridiculous for me to... no Daring. Remember what Dad

Pinkie Pie set the bouquet of flowers down at the base of the statue and stared at them for a long time. They were the best roses that the florists had on demand. The colours were the brightest she had ever seen for roses. Their petals shone a vivid red in the morning sun, the perfect contrast to their bright green stems, wrapped in a small, white silk band that prevented the thorns from jabbing her mouth.
She sat down in front of the statue, staring at the flowers, not sure if she wanted to look up. Everything was so bright that day; even the grass stood out more than normal, its bright green felt stretching out towards Pony

The Duet Never Played Chapter 2
The carriage arrived in the middle of the hotel district, but Lyra had been too engrossed in the song they were singing to notice. Taking her luggage to the hotel, Lyra quickly walked to the front desk and got a room. She rode the elevator up to the 43rd floor. It was a Honeymoon Suite at the Maritrot.
"I still can't believe Rarity got me this room," Lyra grumbled as she approached the door. She deftly unlocked the door and entered the room. The room could only be described as lavish. Lyra entered into a spacious living room that seemed larger than her house back in Ponyville. The far wall was covered in windows. In the center of the room wh

Lyra was lying peacefully under the tree. From her spot on the top of the hill overlooking Ponyville, she could see everypony going about their business. This was her daily business. Every day she came out to this tree around midday and played her lyre. She made it a point to keep in practice with her lyre. Although she had never been the best musician, Lyra loved nothing more than a few quiet hours to sit and play. It had only been two hours and she had already played all the songs she could think of today, so she just lay back and relaxed in the warm sunlight, slowly drifting off to sleep.
Lyra didn't wake up until hours later. Slowly look

Now, not everyone can draw but if you can, you should totally do this. It is the least we can do. I for one will be dedicating a one shot fic to her. I think I have a good idea, it may not be Twilight and Rarity but it's something.
I'm done with Duet. I just can't even stand to look at it anymore. I'll leave it up here, but it isn't getting published, it isn't being revised. Hopefully it will be forgotten. Oh look, my 5 watchers might enjoy this. Meh, I don't know why I even bother with this site. Oh yeah, I use it to talk to pk.
